The Birchwood Bed is already wipe-clean and laundry-free, so no covers are required. Eco-Covers are an optional soft top sheet that catches fur, drool, mud, and everyday messes before they touch the bed underneath. Slide one on, swap it when it's dirty, toss the old one in the wash or compost it. Up to you.

This 2-pack includes two Graphite covers with a half-coverage pattern. Softer to the touch, priced for more frequent rotation.

What they're for

  • Catch the mess. Sits on top of the bed; cover catches the worst of it, bed underneath stays cleaner longer.
  • Softer hand-feel. Our light colors use a half-coverage print, leaving more of the breathable fiber exposed. Noticeably softer than the dark colors.
  • Compostable. Made from sustainable birch-derived fibers. Breaks down in about 65 days.
  • Wash them or don't. Reuse them for a while, or just swap and compost. Either way works.
  • Pet-safe and hypoallergenic. No coatings or chemicals that irritate sensitive skin.
  • Three sizes to fit the Medium, Large, and Extra Large Birchwood Bed.
  • Not for diggers. These are made to compost. If your dog digs at their bed, skip the covers. The bed is wipe-clean on its own, and a regular blanket of your own works fine on top if you want something soft up there.

Why light and dark covers are priced differently

Our light covers (Graphite and Ivory Coast) use a half-coverage print. They are softer to the touch but wear faster, lasting about half as long as our dark colors. That is why they are priced at half. Our dark covers (Deep Blue and Slate Black) feature the full-coverage print at twice the durability and twice the price. Same fabric, same biodegradable spec. Pick your priority: softer and refresh more often, or longer-lasting and better cost per use.

What makes the Birchwood Bed different?

It never goes in the washing machine. A medical grade composite cover that wipes clean (no PU, no PVC), furniture-grade support foam inside, and optional plant-based biodegradable Eco-Covers on top. Recommended by veterinarians Dr. Brooke Montgomery, DVM and Dr. David Salazar, DVM.

Is it truly laundry-free?

Yes. Wipe the cover with a damp cloth or any cleaner you already use, including a bleach dilution. Or swap the Eco-Cover. No machine washing, ever.

Are the Eco-Covers biodegradable?

Yes. Eco-Covers are made from plant-based biodegradable fibers. Remove the elastic before composting.

Has it been lab tested?

Yes. The cover is lab tested by SGS: no formaldehyde, lead, mercury, cadmium or chromium detected, and it does not promote mould or mildew. The foam is CertiPUR-US® certified and made in an OEKO-TEX® STeP Level 3 facility.

What is the warranty?

10-year warranty on the foam core. 5-year warranty on the cover for material integrity, such as cracking or delamination. Stitching, zippers, and damage from chewing or digging are not covered.

Shipping and returns

Free shipping on every bed within the continental US, no minimum. Alaska, Hawaii and US territories ship at a flat $125. Orders leave our US warehouse within 48 hours.
